Dear colleagues,
We are thrilled to announce that we, Meghanne Barker and Constantine
Nakassis, have taken on the role as the new Editors-in-Chief of *Semiotic
Review* <https://www.semioticreview.com/>, as of January 1, 2025. We are
taking the reins from the exceptional Paul Manning, who has overseen
the *Semiotic
Review* for over the last decade, editing one of the most exciting and
unique journals in semiotics. Thank you Paul!
There's lots that's new at *Semiotic Review*. In addition to an updated
website, we have new articles on "Animation
<https://semioticreview.com/sr/index.php/srindex/issue/view/10>" by Ilana
Gershon <https://semioticreview.com/sr/index.php/srindex/article/view/78>
and Rick Cousins
<https://semioticreview.com/sr/index.php/srindex/article/view/77>, and new
issues on the way ("Semiotics of Role Playing" and "Dialogues between
Continental Semiotics and Linguistic Anthropology," among others).
Semiotics never looked so good! *Semiotic Review* also has a new editorial
board <https://semioticreview.com/sr/index.php/srindex/about/editorialTeam>.
We are excited to welcome fresh perspectives on semiotics from a range of
traditions!
*Semiotic Review* is a multidisciplinary peer-reviewed journal devoted to
publishing original scholarship bearing upon symbolic behavior, meaning,
and signification in all its forms. It is online and open-access. Articles
are organized either in thematic issues
<https://semioticreview.com/sr/index.php/srindex/issue/archive> or in our
Varia <https://semioticreview.com/sr/index.php/srindex/issue/view/3> section.
No issue is ever closed, and new material can continue to be added to them
indefinitely. Check out the Calls for Papers
<https://semioticreview.com/sr/index.php/srindex/callforpapers>to read
about existing and upcoming thematic issues. As always, the Varia section
is open for submission for papers that fall outside of the thematic issues. We
welcome your article submissions and proposals for new issues!
Best,
Meghanne and Costas
