On October 31, the Department of Applied Linguistics at The Pennsylvania State University will hold a Zoom session about how to apply to our PhD program (see attached file). Please forward this email to any students, who might be interested in our program. Our research expertise is broad and includes, but is not limited to, critical discourse analysis, southern and decolonial approaches, language, gender and sexuality, classroom discourse, translanguaging, and socio-cultural theory.

The Pennsylvania State University campuses are located on the original homelands of the Erie, Haudenosaunee (Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Oneida, Mohawk, and Tuscarora), Lenape (Delaware Nation, Delaware Tribe, Stockbridge-Munsee), Monongahela, Shawnee (Absentee, Eastern, and Oklahoma), Susquehannock, and Wahzhazhe (Osage) Nations.  As a land grant institution, we acknowledge and honor the traditional caretakers of these lands and strive to understand and model their responsible stewardship.
