Hi Maria Lis,
This sounds like a very interesting focus!
I can share about a forthcoming piece that Kate Graber and I will have in the Bloomsbury Handbook of Language Ideologies - Avineri, N. & Graber, K. (2027, in press). “’Proactivism’ as Language Ideology: Examining the Language Change – Social Change Nexus”. In P. Montgomery, P. De Costa, P. Sah, & K. Bernstein (Eds.).
I can email you with the References list for that piece if helpful - we drew upon a range of great work from many scholars (on this list!).
Also - I recently presented at the AAAL conference about the role of language ideologies in conflict transformation and social change. Happy to send you the PPT for that as well - let me know.
Best,
Netta

Rethinking Language Change and Social Change." I am thinking of literature that deals with social movements that focus on language as an area of their activism--for example, the whole discussion about sex work vs. prostitution, undocumented immigration vs. illegal immigration, and so and so forth. No need to be snarky.

I am looking for literature from the past two decades on language ideology for a piece I am working on, so I figured I would reach out to this community of expertise for your suggestions. Any and all recommendations would be highly appreciated. In the spirit of collegiality, I also plan to compile a list with the recommendations received to share with the listserv. Thank you very much in advance!
