[Linganth] REMINDER: SLA Town Hall: Bylaw Changes (Monday, 4/20/26 at 4 -5 PM ET) - Register now!

Hello!


You are invited to the SLA Town Hall to be held Monday, 4/20 at 4 - 5 PM
ET, during which we will discuss our Section’s proposed Bylaws changes. SLA
members can now vote on these proposed changes during the AAA's spring
election cycle, which opened 4/1/26 and runs through 6/10/26.


The SLA Executive Board has been working since last summer to update and
revise the SLA's bylaws, to reflect the Board’s ongoing priorities as well
as SLA members' ideas/feedback.


The proposed changes include language around resolutions, initiatives,
referenda, makeup of the SLA Board (to include a new Secretary-Treasurer
Elect position), as well as procedural edits. During the Town Hall we will
provide an overview of the changes, and answer questions about their scope
and goals.
