Dear SLA grad students,
Join us for a conversation about linguistic anthropology both in and beyond
the academy!
Linguistic anthropologist *Zion Ariana Mengesha*, Associate Professor at
UCLA and former sociolinguistics subject‑matter expert on Google’s
Responsible AI User Experience team, will reflect on the broader
possibilities of our training: the kinds of work linguistic anthropologists
can do, the skills we bring to different sectors, and the ongoing question
of what else this degree prepares us for.
