R: ALT Meeting Year Change?

I fully understand Bill's reasons. I attended the XIVth ICHL in Vancouver
and that's why I wan't be in Amsterdam. But are we sure that postposing the
ALT meetings to even-numbered years will not result in overlapping with
other important linguistic events? I think to remember that we had already
such a discussion and the final outcome was to stick to odd-numbered years.
