LANGUAGE TYPOLOGY

First call for papers

On-line conference "Language typology" is going to be held
on May 15th to 25th 1999. The organizers are Kazan State
University and "Web Journal of Formal, Computational &
Cognitive Linguistics"
(http://www.kcn.ru/tat_en/science/fccl/). Papers on all
aspects of typology are welcome. All the papers will be put
on the Web site of the Journal. After the conference the
proceedings of the conference are to be published in the
Journal, on CD and printed as a book.

SUBMISSION & REVIEW PROCEDURES:


Paper selection and review procedures will be similar to
those of a regular conference. We ask you send a shot
abstract in ASCII and a paper in ASCII or RTF or PostScript.
Length of the paper is not limited. Abstracts and papers
must be send to <solovyev at tatincom.ru>. The first 3 lines of
the message should consist of

        Your name
        Your email address
        The title of the paper

Our time-frame is:

Deadline for papers: May 1, 1999
Final program announced: May, 10, 1999

Participation in the on-line conference will be carried out
on the list TYPOLOGY.LIST that has been created for that
purpose. To subscribe to this list, send the following
message to <majordomo at ksu.ru>:

Once you have received confirmation of your subscription,
you may send messages to <typology at ksu.ru>. A record of all
received messages will be maintained on a specific Web page
at the conference site. Everyone subscribed to the list will
receive these messages. If you wish to leave the list, send
the following message to <majordomo at ksu.ru>:

UNSUBSCRIBE TYPOLOGY Your-email-address

At the end of the  conference  participants will be automatically
removed from the TYPOLOGY.LIST.
