Dear members of ALT,

LT has not gone out of business:  for several reasons, some beyond
everybody's control, the appearance of issue 4-1 (2000) has been delayed,
but it will be out within 8 weeks, or hopefully a little sooner.  The
contents of this issue have been announced on the ALT homepage a while ago.
Issues 4-2 and 4-3 (2000) will follow hard on 4-1's heels.

On behalf of everybody you might want to blame, I'd like to apologize for
having caused the authors and readers of LT such frustration.
