A doctoral-level linguistics student who is not on LINGTYP - Gyongyi
Boldog of Budapest, Hungary - has asked me to post the following query.

Gyongyi Boldog is interested in the typology of the discourse
structure of letters of recommendation - and more generally, letters of
reference - as written in different languages and coming from different
cultures. The letters may be of various sorts whether in behalf of peers,
students, or superiors. To this end, she needs samples of such letters.
