"A typology of reciprocal markers: Analysis and documentation"

Applications are invited for two research positions in a typological 
project on reciprocity at the FU Berlin. The project will be carried out 
in cooperation with the Utrecht Institute of Linguistics OTS and is 
jointly funded by the DFG and the NWO. The positions are available for two 
years, beginning this year.

Successful candidates should hold a M.A. degree in general linguistics or 
Modern Languages. Expertise in one or more of the following fields would 
be advantageous: language typology, syntactic theory, semantic theory. The 
ability to work collaboratively and to meet deadlines is essential. A good 
working knowledge of German would also be an advantage.

Successful candidates are expected to write a doctoral dissertation on 
some aspect of reciprocity or some related topic within the thematic scope 
of the project. The salary is in accordance with Grade IIa of the German 
public service pay scale (age related), based on 18.25 hours per week.
