YES and NO

There is a paper about the typology of "yes" and "no" in the Journal of
Linguistics Anthropology
of arond 5 years back. Not so much about te etymology, if I remember well,
but more about
the form of the words - recurrent phonemes across languages. It had a
complicated title
with a neologism in it. It may provide information about Frans' question
as well.
