Asymmetry in voiceless stop lenition

Dear Eduardo,

other people know much more about this than I, but the phonological 
phenomenon reminds me of the Celtic consonant mutations (the Wikipedia 
article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consonant_mutation is a reasonable 
starter).
