excessive criticism

Dan and everyone,

These have been a rather unfortunate last couple of days on the LINGTYP 
list, and I can only hope that we will get back to our bread-and-butter 
business of doing linguistics as soon as possible.

Dan, I found your list of questions to be very interesting, and as you 
know I have already provided you with some answers from the languages 
that I am familiar with.  In order to get us back to the nuts and bolts, 
it would be nice if you could post a summary, even an interim one, of 
the responses that you have received to date.  This would provide us 
with some specific data and claims to sink our teeth into, and, in doing 
so, perhaps also show that the questions that you posed are indeed worth 
asking.
