back to the future

The former chairman of the Danish Language Council, Prof Em Niels Davidsen-Nielsen, a specialist on the English language, once wrote a paper with the title 'Has English a Future?', so maybe the very big problem is whether there will be an English language in the future.
In that case prof Chen will - in the future - encounter some problems when trying to express his views on languages, and the rest of us will, hopefully, be able to contemplate difficult questions like what relationship there may be between tense (aspect) and time; without being troubled with silly ideas like this one.
Best,
Hans
