The Department of Linguistics and English Language (School of Arts, Languages and Cultures, The University of Manchester) invites applications for the Mont Follick Chair in (Comparative) Linguistics, which is available from 1 September 2014.


We interpret "comparative linguistics" in a wide sense – including synchronic and diachronic perspectives.
