Third Pavia International Summer School for Indo-European Linguistics
Pavia (Italy) 7-12 September 2015

The Third Pavia International Summer School for
Indo-European Linguistics will be held from
September 7 to September 12 at the University of
Pavia. It will feature five courses and a poster
session, in which students will be able to present their own research.
Participation in the Summer School, including
active participation in the Poster Session, stands for 3 ECTS.
Courses and instructors:
Course 1 = Anatolian (H. Craig Melchert, UCLA)
Course 2 = Germanic (Sabine Ziegler, Jena)
Course 3 = Slavic (Hanne Martine Eckhoff, Tromsø)
Course 4 = Italic (Karin Westin Tikkanen, Gotheborg)
Course 5 = Languages and molecular anthropology (Brigitte Pakendorf, CNRS)
Invited lecture = Gilles Authier (EPHE) Impact
of contact: Jewish Tat, an Iranian outlier in the Caucasus
Admission:
We invite PhD students, as well as Postdocs and
other young researchers. Advanced MA students
will also be considered for admission, based on a
written statement of their motivation for
attending the school. As all courses will be
taught in English, a good knowledge of English is a basic requirement.
Deadline for applications: 15 May 2015
Fees:
There will be a 80 euros registration fee to be
paid in advance by June 30, which will cover lunches and course materials.
