Dear colleagues,

I am currently working on a typological study of
coordinating compounds, and I am looking for data from
modern Celtic languages.

Browsing the literature, I found out that Old Irish had
dvandva-type coordinating compounds as e.g. cennainim
'head and soul', but all the examples I found for Modern
Celtic languages are of asymmetrical (non-coordinate)
compounds. I would be especially interested to know if any
of those survived into any modern Celtic language, and if
there are any compounds of the actor-director type (i.e.
describing an entity in two roles).

Best,

Giorgio F. Arcodia
