*CFP for the Second International Conference on Afroasiatic Languages and
Linguistics, 14-16 November 2018*
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Brill's Journal of Afroasiatic
Languages and Linguistics (<http://brill.nl/baall> <http://brill.nl/baall>),
the Laboratoire de Linguistique de Nantes will convene the Second BJALL
International Conference on 14-16 November 2018.
The conference is intended as a forum for the presentation and discussion
of ongoing theoretical research on the languages of the Afroasiatic family
(Berber, Chadic, Cushitic, Egyptian, Semitic, Omotic).
Contributions are welcome in all areas of linguistic research: phonology,
morphology, syntax, semantics and their interfaces, language acquisition,
dialectology and historical linguistics.
Our confirmed guest speakers are Karim Bensoukas (Mohamed V Univ. Rabat),
Nora Boneh (Hebrew University of Jerusalem) and Peter Hallman (Univ. of
Vienna).
We invite abstracts for 30-minute oral presentations, to be followed by 15
minutes of discussion.
* Abstracts should be anonymous and no longer than two pages, including
references and examples.
* Submissions are limited to a maximum of one individual and one
joint abstract per author.
* Please send your anonymous abstract to baallnantes2018 at gmail.com and
include the following information in the body of your email: name of
author(s), email address, affiliation, title of the paper.
* Deadline for submission: June 15 2018
* Notification of acceptance: July 20 2018
