Project description
The area of the position is machine learning for linguistics. This 
includes both traditional language technology applications, preferably 
multilingual, and methods based on machine learning applied to 
linguistic research questions. A project plan that relates to one or 
more of the other research areas at the department, such as language 
typology or language documentation, phonetics (such as voice quality in 
interaction), sign language, or children's language acquisition, is an 
asset (see http://www.ling.su.se/english/research). Experience of 
machine learning is also an asset.
