[Lingtyp] Syncretism between forms encoding source and agent

Dear colleague,
Italian:
Da Milano a Roma 'from Milan to Rome'
Vs.
È stato aggredito da Giacinto
'he was assaulted by Giacinto'
In both cases, you use the preposition 'da'. But, for the agent, this is
the case only in the passive voice.
