Dear colleagues — The Department of Linguistics at the University at Buffalo invites applications for up to two tenure-track positions in linguistics at the rank of Assistant Professor from candidates whose research makes significant use of computational, corpus, or quantitative and statistical methods. The specializations for these positions are open but candidates whose research interests also include phonology and syntax are especially encouraged to apply. The starting date for these positions is Fall 2020.

The successful applicant will be expected to teach courses at all levels, including courses that support the department’s PhD program in Linguistics and its Master’s program in Computational Linguistics, serve on dissertation committees, establish and maintain a robust research program, pursue external funding when appropriate, and provide service to the University and discipline.
