Dear colleagues,

I am delighted to announce the publication of ‘The Languages of Mainland Southeast Asia’, latest in the ‘green book’ series (Cambridge Language Surveys):

https://www.cambridge.org/core/books/languages-of-mainland-southeast-asia/43B7A92948482AD1A01E7707E1EDF239

At nearly double the length of my 2019 ‘concise typological introduction’ (CUP), this book adds information on further grammatical topics as well as two major chapters at the beginning, one on the prehistory and sociocultural context of the mainland Southeast Asia area and the other a comparative and historical survey of the languages (including the signed languages).

Best wishes to all – Nick
