Dear Sebastian,

I don't have a reference for the choice of violent vs non-violent concepts for a given semantic property, but Kotek et al (2020) on gender representation in linguistic example sentences is relevant in finding male-gendered arguments more likely to be agents and perpetrate violence than female-gendered arguments, which combined with other findings they argue shows harmful and avoidable perpetuation of gender biases/stereotypes through choice of linguistic example sentences: https://journals.linguisticsociety.org/proceedings/index.php/PLSA/article/view/4723.

Best wishes,

Lis Kerr
