Dear colleagues,

Two vacancies are now open at the University of Groningen (NL) within the NWO-funded project Shades of grammar: the cognitive basis of morphological productivity in polysynthetic languages.

The PhD student<https://www.rug.nl/about-ug/work-with-us/job-opportunities/?details=00347-02S0009L1P> will conduct independent work on a polysynthetic language, including fieldwork, data collection and analysis. Students who completed an MA in Linguistics or related disciplines, with an interest in morphology and/or in polysynthetic languages (Algonquian, Eskimo-Aleut, Munda or other language families) are qualified.

The postdoc<https://www.rug.nl/about-ug/work-with-us/job-opportunities/?details=00347-02S0009LYP> will have a PhD in Psycholinguistics or related disciplines, possibly with a focus on (morphological) priming. Their main task will be to design the experimental set up of an auditory morphological priming experiment (in collaboration with the Principal Investigator), collect and analyse data.

Candidates who identify as Indigenous to a community where a polysynthetic language is spoken are preferred for the positions. The deadline for applications is October 30.

For any information contact: Dr. Maria Mazzoli (m.mazzoli at rug.nl<mailto:m.mazzoli at rug.nl>). I am posting this message on her behalf.

Best wishes,

Kees Hengeveld
