Call for Papers: APLL (Austronesian and Papuan Languages and Linguistics) 17

The 17th International Conference on Austronesian and Papuan Languages 
and Linguistics will be held in *Cologne, Germany, 21-23 July 2025*.

Abstract submission for APLL17 is now open. The Programme Committee 
welcomes presentations on any aspect of the linguistics of Austronesian 
and Papuan languages, including descriptive linguistics of individual 
languages, and comparative and historical studies involving several of 
these languages. The purpose of the APLL conferences is to provide a 
venue for presentation of the best current research on Austronesian and 
Papuan languages and linguistics, and to promote collaboration and 
research in this area.

Presentations will be 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of discussion. 
Each individual may contribute up to two submissions, one of which may 
be a single-author paper. Abstracts will be peer-reviewed by members of 
the Programme Committee.

Abstracts must be no more than one A4 page in length, including 
examples, figures, maps, etc., but excluding references. Submissions 
must be anonymous and in PDF format. To submit an abstract, go to 
apll17.sciencesconf.org <https://apll17.sciencesconf.org/>and create an 
account under “Login”. Once you have logged in, go to “My Space”, then 
to “My Submissions”, and follow the instructions.
