The conference “Caucasian linguistics: recent advances and emerging topics”
will take place in Lyon, France
(Laboratoire Dynamique du Langage, CNRS)
June 11 - 13, 2025
https://caucling2025.sciencesconf.org/
This conference aims to bring together scholars working on the languages
spoken in the Caucasus in order to foster transnational collaborations and
cross-team intellectual exchange. We invite submissions from all subfields
of linguistics (phonetics, morphology, syntax, sociolinguistics, etc),
different approaches (descriptive, theoretical, typological,
interdisciplinary, etc.), diachronic or synchronic, in order to promote
diversity across disciplines and methodologies. Besides, studies on
languages from all families represented in the Caucasus are equally
encouraged.
The language of the conference is English.
We particularly encourage submissions from graduate students and early
career researchers, to whom we can offer financial support if their
submission is accepted.
Abstracts must be anonymized and written in English. They must not exceed
two A4 size pages in length, including examples and references, 2cm margins
on all sides, single-spaced, 11pt font. Authors may submit a maximum of two
abstracts (single or co-authored).
All abstracts should be submitted as a single PDF file via the conference
website. To be able to do so, you first need to create an account on the
Sciencesconf.org platform by choosing the “Create account” option from the
dropdown menu that appears when you click on the arrow to the right of the
“Login” button (under the website banner). If you already have a
Sciencesconf account, just login via the conference website. Once
logged-in, select "My submissions" in the MY SPACE menu, then "submit an
abstract".
The filename of your abstract should be the first two words of the title of
your abstract separated by a hyphen.
Time for oral presentations will be 30 minutes, including 10 minutes for
discussion.
