The LingTransformer of Gauss:AI Global (a research initiative of MANOVA AI) invites participation in the first block of workshops of the international series:

Linguistics Meets ChatGPT: From Prompt to Theory

We welcome linguists from all subfields, as well as scholars working in adjacent disciplines (NLP, cognitive science, digital humanities, educational technology, etc.).

Grammar Without Grammar: How ChatGPT Handles Syntax and Morphology

Format: Onsite and Online
Time: 12:00–15:30 CET on both days (The scheduled time was selected to accommodate participants from a wide range of countries and time zones.)

Onsite venue: KMU Center, Sterngasse 3, 1010 Vienna, Austria. (This location is situated in the oldest part of Vienna’s city center and is surrounded by historical landmarks.) 
Please be aware that the onsite venue does not offer step-free access; entry is possible only via a staircase.

Each workshop includes:
Introductory lecture
Guided hands-on session
5-minute mini-presentations by selected participants
Discussion and Q&A

Call for 5-Minute Talks
Participants (onsite and online) are invited to submit abstracts for 5-minute presentations related to any aspect of linguistic research using ChatGPT (LLMs). Particularly welcome are talks related to the themes discussed in the two workshops of Block 1.

Please submit: a 200-word abstract and a 100-word bio using this Google Form: https://forms.gle/Lq4qkxD99G7odX5L8. 

Submission deadline: January 12, 2026 (12:00 midnight CET)
Notification of acceptance: January 31, 2026
Accepted abstracts, bios, and slides will be published on the Gauss:AI Global website.

Stipends
To support the next generation of linguistic researchers, the LingTransformer of Gauss:AI Global / MANOVA AI offers five competitive stipends for (under)graduate students. Each stipend fully covers the registration fee for online participation in Block 1.

Applicants are invited to submit a 300-word motivation letter and proof of student status to office at manova-ai.com <mailto:office at manova-ai.com>. Subject line: “Stipend”. Deadline: December 15, 2025.

Registration
Registration for Block 1 opens on December 1, 2025, with early-bird rates available through December 31, 2025.
Onsite and online participation follow different fee structures.
Onsite seats are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
