Below you'll find an ad(vertisement) for the Linguistics graduate program
at the University of Alberta. We have a few funded PhD positions every year
(and some master's positions too) that may be of interest to you or your

The Department of Linguistics at the University of Alberta, established in
1969, offers MSc and PhD positions for prospective graduate students
interested in learning and conducting typologically-informed research on a
diverse range of languages with our vibrant team of faculty members,
graduate students, and other academics in state-of-the-art research
facilities.

The Department offers cutting-edge training in experimental methods
including advanced statistical analysis and organizes the Spring Training
in Experimental Psycholinguistics (STEP). Our students also benefit from
our close ties with the Canadian Indigenous Languages and Literacy
Development Institute (CILLDI).
Accepted PhD students are provided four years of funding in the form of TA
and RA stipends ($25,000 per year minimum).
