Hi Sergey,

Not in word-initial position, but in Galo 1p and 2p plural pronouns shift irregularly *ŋo-lu / *no-lu > ŋunu / nunu. It seems to be a case of harmonisation with the initial nasal, as 3p *bu-lu is unaffected. Not sure if that’s at all relevant to what you’re looking for.

Subject: [Lingtyp] L > N

Dear colleagues,
Are you aware of a shift l- > n- affecting the onsets of grammatical morphemes, specifically in word-initial position?

Thank you very much!

Sergey
