The MapLE project has created a glossary of terms used in epistemicity: https://epistemicity.net/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/epistemicity-glossary-10.pdf

Giosuè Balocco, Seppo Kittilä and myself wanted to create some clarity in the terminology of evidentiality, egophoricity, mirativity, information structure and epistemic modality, including hyperlinks to compare the various terms. So if you’ve always wanted to know the 8 alternative names for ’non-egophoric’ or look up what ‘privileged access’ means, we hope this glossary helps!
