Subject: Call for manuscripts: Computer-Mediated Discourse Analysis

This is a reminder that the deadline for receipt of electronic manuscripts
for the _Electronic Journal of Communication_ special issue on COMPUTER-
MEDIATED DISCOURSE ANALYSIS is May 25, 1995.

The peer reviewed collection follows from a recent GURT presession on the
same topic, although it is not necessary to have presented a paper at the
presession in order to submit a manuscript for publication.

We welcome original, previously unpublished manuscripts that apply
linguistic methodology to data from computer-mediated interactions.
Manuscripts are especially encouraged that report on pragmatic,
sociolinguistic/interactional, or textual analyses, or focus on
issues of methodology or genre.

Authors should prepare manuscripts in electronic format according to
the EJC/REC Author Guide, which is available on the World Wide Web at

http://trill.berkeley.edu/users/sutton/CMC.html

or by request from susan at utafll.uta.edu. Manuscript length should
ideally be between 5000 and 7500 words, although shorter and longer
manuscripts may also be considered.

Questions and requests for Author Guide should be e-mailed to the
special issue guest editor, Susan Herring, at susan at utafll.uta.edu.
