REMINDER
[We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.]

Subject: Linguistics programs outside US & Canada
Dear fellow linguists,
I am currently chairing the International Travel Committee at Ohio
University. We attempt to encourage supported linguists to make
contacts with Linguistics programs abroad when they travel. The LSA
has a directory for US and Canada, but not the rest of the world.
I would appreciate your sending me the addresses (or directory, if
available - where I can get it) of programs in your country.
I will compile them and send a copy to LSA, may be they want to
publish them. If not, I can also send the list to whoever wants it by
e-mail.
Thanks! Lets get connected globally!

Subject: Query: Linguistics and Literary Theory Departments
I would like to get an idea of the number and distribution of
Linguistics departments which also comprise Literary Theory, or
include "Literary Theory" in their titles. All I need to know is the
exact name of the department and the university (or other
institutions). I will summarize for the list.
Thanks in advance,
