We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

Subject: Q: identifying ungrammatical sentences
As part of my dissertation research, I am looking for previous work done
on identifying ungrammatical sentences. In particular, does anyone know
of any incremental parsing systems that have dealt with the problem of
recognizing ungrammatical sentences before they are completed? I can't
imagine that there isn't some work out there dealing with the issue, but I
have been unable to find any.
A summary will be provided if there is sufficient interest.
Thanks
