We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

Subject: Q: bilingual processing
Hi,
One of our students here is working on a project on bilingual
processing. In particular, he wants to investigate whether bilingual
subjects perform significantly differently in particular types of
priming experiments.
He has looked at a wide range of literature on bilingualism in
general, and on priming experiments. The question he wanted me to
aski is whether any of you know of any relevant recent work,
particularly experimental work, in this area.
Please reply to me and I'll summarise later.
Thanks for your help.
Billy.

Dear List members -
I have been asked for suggestions for an appropriate textbook to use for
a graduate level course on childhood bilingualism, something more recent
than McLaughlin's 1984 classic set. Students will be from linguistics,
speech and hearing sciences, and education. Any suggestions would be
most appreciated. I will be happy to post a summary to the list.
Thank you!
