I would like to post an anouncement and call for papers for UCLA's
ninth annual Indo-European Conference, to be held on the UCLA campus
on Friday, May 23 and Saturday, May 24.  We expect to feature as our
invited speakers Dr. Theo Vennemann of the University of Munich and
Dr. Anatoly Liberman of the University of Minnesota.  The deadline for
submitting abstracts is March 15, 1997.  Submissions, questions, or
requests for further information may be directed by e-mail to
