Subject: EFL Instructor in Korea
The Department of English Education at Seowon University in Korea has an
opening position for a full-time EFL instructor. Successful applicants
must be native speakers of English, show excellent writing and speaking
abilities, and have TESOL or EFL/ESL Certificate, MA in linguistics or applied
linguistics. Prior experience in an EFL program is highly preferable.
Terms of Contract:
- Period: Sept 1st, 1997 thru Feb. 1999 (one and a half years)
and renewable.
- 8 week paid vacation a year
- Stipend: 1,500,000 Korean Won (about US$1,700) a month
- Required Teaching Hours: 16 hours per week
- Benefits: Housing (a furnished studio) & Health Insurance
Interested persons should send a CV with a photo taken within 3 months,
transcripts of undergraduate and graduate, a copy of diploma, and a copy of
certificate related to the position to the following address.

Subject: ESL teaching position in Korea
Jeonju University is looking for English native speakers to teach English
conversation to Children (age 10-13) and undergraduate students as
follows:
1) Qualification:
i) English Native Speaker
ii) MA or Ph.D in Education, Lingusitics, English, TESL, ESL
iii) ESL teaching experience with children is prefered
2) Working Condition and Payment
i) 10 month contract for the first year and then 12 month contract
ii) one-way airfare
iii) 1,500, 000 Korean won/month
iv) 15 hours teaching/week (including 12 hours' children teaching)
v) one month vacation (2 weeks/summer 2 weeks /winter)
vi) unfurnished apartment
vii) the contract will be started from August 1, 1997 or March 1,
1998.
