Position announcement:
Department of Applied Linguistics at Portland State University
offers full-time tenure-track position as Assistant Professor.
Ph.D. in linguistics with background in theoretical and applied
linguistics, specialization in first language acquisition from
both formal and empirical perspective required. Discourse
analysis/pragmatics, second language acquisition, or
computational linguistics/computer applications for teaching
desired. Application, including letter stating research and
teaching interests, curriculum vitae, representative
publications, and list of at least three references with phone-
and faxnumber, should be submitted to
Applied Linguistics Search Committee,
Dept. of Applied Linguistics, Portland State University,
