Regarding my query of 21st July, 1997...

My thanks to all those who wrote to me about "child language",
"language acquisition" and "English language education" Lists.

Whoops!  It seems that I sent my query to three Lists - so I can't be
sure which list some of my respondents came from.  But, since Linguist
