Subject: Reflexives in the dialects of English
Dear linguists,
Some months ago, I posted a query regarding long-distance reflexives in
English. One of the very few people who answered suggested that judgments
vary depending on the dialect used. Could you please comment on this or
direct me to any relevant readings on the dialectal differences in the use
of the reflexive pronoun?

Subject: Looking for Literature on Pragmatic Ambivalence
Dear Linguists:
I am a Ph.D student at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. I am now
doing Ph.D dissertation proposal on understanding of pragmatic
ambivalence(ambiguity). I am anxiously looking for documents, articles or
any other research papers that study process of understanding pragmatic
ambivalence from cognitive and social cognitive perspective.Such resoureces
are very important for me.I promise to post a summary to the linguist list.
