Could anyone supply me with some basic references on the acquisition
of French phonology by child first-language learners? I would
especially be grateful for work done on any kind of Canadian or other
New World variety of French.

Reply directly to me, and I will summarize for the List if there is
interest.

Thanks.

Is anyone familiar with research dealing with two-language
conversations, i.e. those where the interactants use separate
languages, and rely upon mutual intelligibility (for these
interactants) in order to effect meaningful communication?

I would be most grateful for any references, or even comments. I
suspect this may be an under-researched area, but I'm prepared to be
surprised that it isn't.

With thanks in anticipation,
