We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

I'm new on the list and am trying this brilliant idea out for the
first time, so please excuse me if I cause any kind of trouble.

I would like to know if anyone out there is interested in Construction
Grammar (Berkeley 'style')

I'm a student teacher at the University of Aarhus in Denmark and am
planning to do a ph.d.-project on impersonal expressions in modern
Spanish - seen from an integrated view of syntax, semantics and
pragmatics.

All suggestions, comments and references are VERY welcome.

Mikkel

Dear Listers:

Several weeks ago I posted to the List a question, and, for the first
time ever, received no replies. I will try again, and be more
specific:

Does anyone have a reference for the order in which children acquiring
French as L1 may be expected to learn the phonemes/distinctive
features? Failing that, does anyone know where I can find information
as to the loss of French phonemes/features in old age or senility? I
would especially be grateful for information on these phenomena in
Canadian or other extra-European varieties of French.

Perhaps there are websites where this kind of material is covered?
Thanks for any help.

I was hoping that someone might be able to direct me to an internet
site that contains various language alphabets. I am looking for the
different letters used in each language, and most importantly their
accented letters.

If anyone has any ideas or information please contact me at the email
address below.

Thank you,
Corey Heller

I'm a French teacher and I need some extra info about the
pronoun ON for my doctoral thesis: uses, language registers, history,
functions, etc.

I'll post a summary to Linguist.

Thank you very much.
