Venue: Room 331, King's College London, The Strand, London WC2,

Topic: Professor Tony Hartley (University of Brighton) will talk on

           "Going live with MT in Academe"
            or
           "Why vacuum-packed MT is stale fare for students"

The meeting will be preceded by the Group's brief Annual General
Meeting.

How to get there:
Underground: The nearest Underground station is Temple (District
and Circle lines).

Buses: 1, 4, 5, 6, 9, 11, 13, 15, 23, 67, 77, 170, 171, 172,
176, 188, 501, 502, 513.

British Rail stations: Blackfriars, Charing Cross,  City
Thameslink.

Road: King's College is situated on the south side of the Strand and
near its east end. The Aldwych and Bush House are immediately
north. Car parking is not available on the premises but there are
parking garages nearby.

Entrance to meetings is free and all are welcome.

It is a custom of our group that after a lecture, members of the
audience, Group members and the speaker adjourn to a nearby restaurant
in Covent Garden, London WC1, for a meal to continue discussing
machine translation and linguistic matters in general and the
speaker's subject in particular. You will be very welcome to join but
you will be asked to pay for your meal; a main course together with a
glass of wine might cost from GBP 8 (eight pounds).
