We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

Subject: Query : Participial Constructions
Dear LINGUISTers,
I would appreciate receiving any information on recent work on
participial constructions in German, regardless of the theoretical
framework (GB, HPSG or LFG is fine). I will post a summary as soon as
I obtain a satisfactory amount of information.
I thank you in advance,

Subject: Linguistic 'ownership'
I am presently working on the topic of linguistic 'ownership', and
would appreciate any references to literature on the topic. In
particular, I am interested in notions of correctness and appropriacy
as these are made manifest on the surface of discursive interaction
(e.g. in meta-discursive comments, in 'corrections' of others'
linguistic 'errors'). With thanks in anticipation, Alan Firth Aalborg
