Subject: Quantifying metaphors

I recently posted a query on the linguist list regarding the
quantification and categorisation of figurative language. I was
particularly interested in metaphor. I would like to thank the
following people for their responses:

Daniel Currie Hall
Andrew Rosta
George Elgin
Suzette Haden Elgin
Tim Clausner
Carrasquel Debus

A list of the recommended sources regarding metaphor follows:

schematicity in metaphors." Cognitive Science, 21(3), pp. 247-
282.

Aphasic Disturbances." In Jakobson, Roman, and Morris Halle,
Fundamentals of Language_, pp. 55-82. The Hague: Mouton.
