POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
August 13, 1999
The Department of Linguistics, University of Arizona, has a
position for an Adjunct Lecturer of Tohono O'odham for the
1999-2000 academic year. Duties are to teach a two-
semester undergraduate course, LING 307a/b Elementary
Tohono O'odham Language.The stipend is $5,000 per
course. The position is not benefits eligible.
Applications, consisting of a letter of interest, a current
curriculum vitae, letters of reference from two
individuals,
and evidence of teaching excellence should be

Review of applications will begin August 13 and
continue until the position is filled. Qualifications
require a bachelor's degree in any field or equivalent
experience, and native speaking ability along with
reading and writing skills in Tohono O'odham.
