Did anyone see the demonstration that C-STAR put on on July 22, 1999? I
am looking to get some outsider information on how everything went and if
there is a videotape of the demo that is availible.

Please contact me at the address below.

Hi - We are Saint Michael's College students and we are working on a
linguistics project. Would someone out there be kind enough to give us a
quick sketch of how relativization works in Nahuatl?

Thanks,

Vanessa, Irene, and Fran

Sorry for cross-postings, but I'm looking for bib. info. for publications
which comment on Austin's and Searle's use of the term "force" when
discussing illocutionary force or point.

Thanks in advance,
Christian Nelson

Subject: Looking for Langs w/ vowel harmony & Consonants w/ 2nd articulation

I am looking for languages that have both vowel harmony and consonants
with secondary articulation (preferably of the same
type--e.g. labialized Cs with labial harmony, palatalized Cs with
front/back harmony, pharyngealized Cs with ATR/RTR harmony-- though
any examples would be helpful). For example, Turkish has front/back
harmony and palatalized consonants.

If you know of any such languages, please e-mail me the name of the
language and where it is spoken. If you happen to know a good
reference, that would also be helpful.

Thank you very much,

Susannah V. Levi
