Speech-Language Pathology position vacancy

Associate/Assistant Professors (2 positions).  The Department of
Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology at the University of South
Carolina invites applications for two 12-month, tenure-track faculty
positions, one at the Assistant Professor level and one at the
Associate Professor level.  Interested applicants who have earned
doctorates in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related fields
(and who have a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA) would be
expected to pursue research and teaching in some of the following
areas: neurogenic speech and language disorders, fluency disorders,
dysphagia, speech science, and voice disorders.  Two complementary
individuals are sought to guide further development in research and
educational programs of research and share our mission to develop an
emphasis in preparing clinicians, clinical scientists, and doctoral
level faculty.  Salary is negotiable.  The screening of applications
will begin on May 15, 1999; however, the advertisement and search
process will remain active until the positions are fulled.  Applicants

UNIVERSITY OF OREGON
OPEN POOL ANNOUNCEMENT (#049805)

The Department of Linguistics at the University of Oregon seeks to
refresh applications for an open pool, for the 1999-2000 academic
year. The Department occasionally needs to cover specific courses in
our curriculum on short notice. All positions filled through this
advertisement are for temporary, part time and/or emergency
hires. There will be no permanent positions filled through this
pool. Teaching positions may be made for one to two courses a term and
may be renewable up to but not over four terms depending on
Departmental needs and funds. For teaching positions, candidates must
show evidence of considerable teaching skill at both undergraduate and
graduate levels.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in Linguistics

Duties: Up to two courses per term of hire (we are on a quarter system);

Mentor students in research projects, as needed; Participate in
Department life, as appropriate.
