ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR
JAPANESE LANGUAGE

The Department of East Asian studies seeks a one-year, full-time instructor
to teach Japanese language.  Candidates must have native or near-native
fluency in Japanese, good English speaking & reading skills, college-level
language teaching exp.  (preferably in the US) & an M.A. (preferably in
Applied Linguistics, SLA, JSL/JFL, or TESL/TEFL).

Appointment begins with the Fall 1999 Semester (August 1999).

Contract Assistant Professor of English at Korea University

Korea University has an opening for a full-time Contract Assistant
Professor of English, one-year contract (renewable) to teach English
composition and conversation to English majors at university level.
The contract begins at September 1, 1999.  Duty hours are 12 hours per
week.  The candidate must be a native speaker of English, and must
have a Master's degree in English Literature, Linguistics, TESL, or a
related area. The salary is approximately $20,000 a year, and we will
provide a work visa.  The university provides housing ($1000 a year).
