The Institute of Foreign Language Education, Inje University, has an
opening for a full-time English instructor for Fall '99. Applicants
must be a native speaker of English.  Those who have a Master's degree
in TESOL or a related area (Linguistics, English) are preferred. The
salary is 19,5000,000 WON (approximately U$17,000) a year.  In
addition, there are many other special programs available, where extra
money can be earned.  You are required to teach 16 hours a week at
least in the regular curriculum, including one early morning class at
8 AM.  You are entitled to six weeks' paid vacation: three weeks in
summer and winter, respectively.  We provide health insurance and
housing, premiums and maintenance fees paid by you.

Cary Academy

Cary Academy is a new independent, coed, college preparatory day
school for students in grades 6-12.  Committed to discovery,
innovation, collaboration and excellence, the school is Located on a
52-acre campus in the heart of the dynamic Research Triangle. Cary
Academy is in its second year of operation with 435 students in grade
6-11.  Its goal is to create a learning environment that will serve as
a model for all schools in its use of technology to support student
and teacher learning, skill development, and creativity.

Applications are now invited for the faculty position outlined below.

1) Upper School Foreign Language Department Faculty Opening - French -
			
Cary Academy offers proficiency-based language instruction in a
technology-intensive environment. Candidates should possess
near-native proficiency, with a flair for creativity and
interaction. Teachers should be familiar with the ACTFL proficiency
model and direct methodologies, and possess a strong desire to work
within a language "team."  Strong knowledge of a subject area, such as
history, art, music, within the target language culture would be an
asset so as to fully realize Cary Academy's project related and area
studies goals. Teachers should also be willing to participate in the
aggressive exchange programs which the academy will offer.

Responsibilities:
*	Teach 5 sections or 70 students
*	Advise students
*	Lead or support extracurricular activities

	Qualifications:
*	3 years of full-time teaching of the language preferred
*	B.A. in the content area (M.A. preferred)
*	Demonstrated successful integration of technology in the classroom
*	Ability to contribute substantially to Cary Academy's
        extra-curricular program

	Salary and Benefits: An attractive compensation and benefits program
for all staff symbolizes the Academy's vision to become one of the nation's
