We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

Dear Linguists,

My colleague and I are looking for any recent work on intensives or the
double applicative in Bantu languages. We will post a summary of any
current research in this area.

Subject: Resources on languages

Dear List-members,

For the "World Atlas of Linguistic Structures" we are investigating the
imperative in 200 languages. Unfortunately there are a few languages
about which we have no source(s) of information available at the moment.
These are :

Avar, Guarani, Ket, Krongo, Sango, Bribri, Ekari, Hanis Coos (Coosan),
Ingush, Kawesqar, Kiribatese, Pitjantjatjara, Shipibo-Conibo, Trumai and
Una.

We are looking for (articles on the) grammar(s) of these languages, or
for a (near native) speaker of one of these languages. If youknow about
either of these two options, please contact us. To the (near native)
speakers of these languages we will then send a copy of our
questionnaire they can fill in an mail back to us. We will also make the
result of this 'literature hunt' available on the list.

Kindest greetings and many thanks

Ludo
